Ometepe island is 2 volcano cones that fused together during an eruption a few years back. The towering peaks can be seen from nearly every bit of shore on Lake Nicaragua. We were headed for the Finca Magdalena on the far east side of the island. The bus took us most of the way and we walked the last mile or so. The Finca is a gigantic old farm house with vicious man eating hammocks that consumed me and slowly digested me for nearly 3 days, but thankfully I was asleep through most of it.
